Journal Entry Week 1

In Biology we learned about the four major types of organic compounds. Which are Carbohydrates, Proteins, Lipids, and Nucleic Acids. I remember watching a video about it but I don't remember much about it, I like to do more hands on things and writing it down multiple times. Yes it is very unusual but it's how I learn things. Such as the project that we did on the organic compounds, my partner was Alex and we did Carbohydrates. Personally my favorite, i learned a lot about them, such as they are made up of Carbon Hydrogen and Oxygen and that they are the main source of energy that our bodies receive. There are simple sugars and complex sugars. I also learned what the glucose molecule looks like. It took a while for me to completely understand each of the four major organic compounds, and I still have lots to learn about them, but as of now I can understand most of what is needed to know about these compounds Here is a great video about photosynthesis

  1. I liked your definitions of organelles and your model of your 3D cell. The only thing that I think could have been improved is if you wouldn't have spoke so low. Great job though.

  2. you had good crystal clear information and good model but less reading would be nice and speak louder.

  4. You had great defintions that were easy to understand, and also you had a great colorful cell model! The only thing I would say that needs improvement would be to speak up a little louder! Great job though girl!

  5. You both had very good information about the cell. I enjoyed your presentation. One thing I would say that could be improved would be the size of the cell. It was difficult to see each of the components in the cell. Good job!

  6. Your model was really good and you had good facts about the organelles. The only thing is your model, although good, was a bit small and hard to see.

  7. I thought you had a really clear and good model while you were presenting you used very good understandable information. The only thing you could have changed was the definitions were sorta long but good job!

  9. I thought your colors in your cell were very bright and nice. I really liked that! Your information was good as well. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the model was fairly cluttered with labels, I guess there just wasn't enough room. But it was very good.

  12. Your model was colorful and looked pretty cool, good definitions but they kind of drug out a bit and the organelles were small.

  13. Your cell modal was good and you seemed confident but your definitions where a little long.

  14. Your cell presentation was great! You explained everything nicely, the only thing I would suggest is to speak up a little more

  15. Your and Alex's cell model was great! I loved how colorful it was and all of the detail you put into it, i would suggest putting the labels a little further apart so they would be easier to read. The presentation was good too, overall great job girls!
